It's almost Valentine's day! It's my favorite holiday I love it even more then Christmas. Something about all the hearts and the pink, red and white, oh and the candy is the best. Chocolates, conversation hearts and other yummy treats. All that aside I really love that it's a day dedicated to love. Yes it's mostly geared towards couples but who says you can't give your friends or co-workers a Valentine. Family members always love to be reminded of how much you mean to them. I love to make Valentines and to have fun decorations.
Since being married Valentine's is a little more special with my forever Valentine, and he's a gem and makes it extra special for me. The other day I got switched houses for work and had to leave at 8 instead of 9:30. Well my sweetie husband took that time to go and buy paper and cut out a bunch of heart that covered the biggest wall of the apartment. It took him a long time and he probably wanted to play computer games instead but he did something that made me smile. I love it and love looking at it everyday. =)
So I wish all my friends and family a Happy Valentine's Day! May you feel loved and important and have a little treat today. =)
This is a Valentine's tradition with my sisters. So funny. check it out but don't take it too seriously. My favorite part. " What are we going to get?!" " Several boys!" " How we gonna get them?" " Um....Vodoo is it vodoo." hehe....

Random Funnies
Here's to the weekend! Happy smiling!
- I was playing with the little boy we take care of in primary and after I squished his cheeks he jumps up and says, "I'm going to bite your neck!" um....no not in primary.
- Justin talks in his sleep really bad. The other night he left me with this gem as we were headed to sleep. Almost asleep I hear justin laugh out loud and say clear as a bell, " That's great!" I asked what was great with no response. He didn't remember what he was dreaming about. hehe
-My baby pt is about 15 months and LOVES to take his socks on and off. So for fun I put socks on his feet and then on both his hands. He was so baffled about how to get them off. He kept clapping his hands together. It made me laugh.
- ( warning this may be TMI) The other day I woke up in the afternoon and was at my table in a wooden chair. I farted really loud and the chair didn't help. All the sudden I hear my downstairs neighbors bust up laughing......do you think that they heard me? =)
-I came home from work around 8 and really wanted oatmeal for breakfast. We keep it above our stove. So I grab it but not strong enough I guess and it just flips out of my hands and poof! Oatmeal everywhere on the stove, counters, floor. I actually debated if I wanted to clean it up then. I am still finding bits of oatmeal around the kitchen.
-To end we have been enjoying some laffy taffy's so here's a couple of jokes from them.
Why did the elephant decide not to move?
He couldn't lift his trunk!
What did the crop say to the Farmer?
Quit pickin' on me!
How do sheep get clean?
They take a Baa-aa-aath!
Happy Friday all!

Birthday Boy
On Friday, Jan 20th it was Justin's Birthday. He got very spoiled by me and all our families. He wanted to do a birthday week so I got some things and gave him a little present everyday till his birthday. We just had a fun family party on his actual birthday and made him feel special.
He is so special to me and I love when I have an excuse to spoil him. He does so much for me and I love that I get to be with him everyday. ( I love this picture of him=) )
He goes along with my crazy plans.
My nieces love to play with him. This one calls him "Justa". " She hasn't yet figured out my name yet. =)
And I fit perfectly in his arms. I couldn't ask for more. He's the best and I look forward to many more birthdays together.

Guess who's coming to town?!
No, not Santa Claus he already came. On February 13, 2012 at the Energy Solutions area the Harlem Globe Trotters are coming to town! I really want to go but maybe a little because of this.
But let's not forget that they got the skills to pay the bills. You can't help but be amazed at them and have fun whistling along.
I hope that we can go!

Fancy Art
This past Saturday Justin and I became fancy art owners. =) We kept seeing ads for a starving artist show in Salt lake where you could get a paintings for as low as $7 and nothing over $60. We were intrigued and thought, "Let's see what's there." I have always wanted a cool original piece of art in my house whether made by me or someone else. We had fun looking around and there were a ton of people there. In the end we each picked one that we liked best.
This one is mine.=)
Hehe I like how I got the t.v. antenna in there. This is the view from the couch.
This is the one Justin liked the best.
There were a lot of copy cat paintings mostly from Van Gogh. Such as Starry Night, the Sunflower one and the Iris one. Also a lot of the same painting but in different sizes. We got some originals I believe, which is what I was wanting. You could also get the painting framed right there at a pretty reasonable price. Whatever was the price of the painting the frame was the same. We opted out of the frames, mostly because we didn't see one we liked and thought that they looked just as cool without.
We fortunately received a late wedding gift from one of Justin's mom's friends so we used that money to buy our art. Two awesome paintings of good size for 80 bucks. Not to shabby. We are excited for the show to come next year.

A "Mighty" New Year's
This year for the Stoddard Family Tradition of a movie marathon New Year's Eve Party is The Mighty Ducks! I remember watching all these movies growing up but the younger siblings haven't seen them all the way through.
We started off watching the first one filled with great lines such as: " Cakeeater, Our last coach hurt his arm, ( heartattack), and the beginning of the flying V and the oreo line. =) After that we went ice skating till our feet hurt.
Once we got home we watched the 2nd one which was.....hard to get through since it was so cheesy. However, we did learn that rollerblading through the mall is totally legal.? But we made it and then went to play broomstick hockey at the church. We had a fun arrangement of sticks, one hockey stick, two brooms and two lacrosse sticks. We had fun and Natalie felt like she was playing Qudditch being on her rollerblades and with a broom. =)
I love how Ben is in the air in the bottom one. Then we had dinner and watched the 3rd. Which is actually pretty good. Something about 2 movies some are just terrible.
Natalie didn't quite make it to midnight.
Toasting in the New Year!
It was a fun day with lots of laughs and fun memories. We look forward to the New Year to new adventures and always finding ways to improve ourselves.

A Christmas Story
Happens this time every year, you know? I get to see cute pups at my Mom's house, (missing Roscoe in this one),
open gigantic gifts,
get fixin's for my sweet-tooth,
let my sweetheart know how cute she is,
and see two of my extra-cute members of the family.
Spent my Christmas Eve in Layton with the complete Messenger family, then I had another great Christmas with Alaina's family in Logan. The two little nieces are just simply adorable and I love to play with them. My nephew wasn't there until New Year's.
I love Christmas and being around my family and celebrating with laughs and hugs and games.
I love the blessing of my family and I hope you all know of my appreciation for your influence on my life.
Especially this one, who has given me more love and care than I know what to do with:
You are my favorite!
